If I wanted Manhatten I would go to Manhatten!

These people are just their friends.. The place stinks!!! Oh Manhatten!! Are you kidding me it's in the middle of Millstone..Far from the city experience.. The food is good when it comes out at a decent time and cooked all the way. The poor servers are running around li...ke crazy and the hostess wasn't friendly.. For those who say they haven't had a good meal in years and this was great, well I feel for you .. How sad and unrealistic that you needed to go to Luchentos to have a good meal... lol

10 across the board!

The service couldn't match the authentic, delightful food any better. The menu prices were perfect, and the dining room was so beautiful I could never ask for more. I will be sure to go back again and again, and would highly recommend this to anyone looking for good Italian food, with the service that every restaurant is striving for.

Excellence all over

Excellent food, Excellence service. Was there Sunday night and experience the best meal in years. Very difficult to believe the reviews below when I overheard people talking to the owner or manager on my way out that they were so happy with their food, service and ov...erall experience. Funny they are both from East Brunswick? For sure competition or something like it. Now to the real positive matter......... Appetizer and main entree were fabulous! Tiramisu was out of this world and my friends carrot cake was a mile high and delicious. I'll be for back for more. Thank you for a great evening!

Would give 0 if possible

User Rating: 1 out of 5 stars by cndleman 09/05/2010 Dinner with 6 on Sat Sept 4, 2010 - This is the FIRST I have ever done a restaurant review. But felt it my duty to my fellow man (and woman) to do so to warn you to save your time and money. 1) water glass was dir...ty with dried food on it (yech!). 2) Appetizers were served without utensils to serve them (like a large spoon) 3) Calamari appetizer was undercooked 4) pasta soup was tasteless 4) three of the six appetizers were not hot and had to be returned to be reheated 5) two of the entress were so tasteless (inlcuding my eggplant dish) they were returned and asked to be taken off the check. 6) awful service since the poor waitress didn't have a bus boy to help her. All in all a truly memorable evening- and for all the wrong reasons.

The worst ever!!

As a frequent diner at the original Luchentos, I was more than thrilled to see that this fine eatery was reopening with the original chef. I had been here with the previous owners and the food was sub-standard, but having eaten with these newest owners, not only was the... food sub-standard, but the service was worse as was the attitude of the owner who made disparaging ethnic remarks when I complained. This place is not worth the money or the trouble to get here. Too bad.

mediocre food in great setting

First the good things,it is still BYOB (or you would have to take out another mortgage to pay for wine) the restaurant is modern, comfortable great decor..and that is where the good news stops. The waiters, who touch everything in the restaurant also touching your bread ...,bare handed we sat across from the waiter station, avoid that table ,unless you like people staring at you while you eat.and hear them complain about customers.Refills on drinks,we had to request them, service lack of attention, homemade gnocchi..were gummy and tough.their tomato sauce?sauce with a bit of basil (Hunts' comes to my mind) we didn't try the unoriginal desserts...went to Jake freeze and got a great ice cream cone instead/overall mediocre food in a great setting...
