About Mishler Clark James Photography
I am a Freelance Photographer originally trained as a graphic designer at the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles. I came to Alaska in 1971 and worked, primarily, as a book designer. In 1977 I moved to Washington D.C. and worked as a layout editor for the Nation...al Geographic Magazine until my return to Alaska in 1979. In 1989 I switched focus from graphic and publication design to photography. In the years since, my images have appeared in numerous regional and national publications.
