this industry is ever changing. Whether it be the fashion shades of hair color, or the fashion trends of clothing. Nail trends are always changing as well- now nails are considered and accessory and should be bedazzled and embellished. As a nail tech that has been an educator and technician, I can say that the nail industry has come full circle. I LOVE the trend that is the nail industry now. As an artist, my favorite phrase from a guest in my salon is "do whatever you want!" its like Christmas to my ears. Your heart starts racing, you get so excited to be creative and show what you can do. No better feeling to have when you client TRUSTS you to do something for them that they will be wearing for 2-4 weeks. They are walking advertisements, makes them feel great, and makes you feel proud and exhilarated that you gave them something that they love. I have never worked a day in my life, I am in love with my career. Since opening my spa, I've realized how much I truly do love this industry, more and more each day!
Today's consumer
Being in the beauty industry for over 25 years, I guess you could say I have heard and seen it all. I've cried with my guests, made some of my closet friends, been to weddings, births and funerals. I have become a better person and service provider because of the relationships I've built over the years. Ask any technician in this industry, it's hard to not become personal with the guests that sit in front of you every 2-4 weeks for 25 years. You grow to care and love them. When I decided to open my medical day spa and salon, I knew it had to be something that would stand apart from all other salons. I wanted a place that my guests could go to for "one stop shopping". Time is valuable, people are on the go more than ever and they don't have the time to go to multiple salons for different services. Consumers are more educated on salon services now more than ever. We offer a state of the art facility. Latest in trends, education for my team, and education for the guests that come in my door. We are eco-conscious and pride ourselves on reducing waste, salons can produce a lot of waste. We do our part to make sure that we waste as little as possible. When you come into Body Spa Salon, you will first notice the welcoming atmosphere. Second, the decor and lastly- my team! I am biased- because I feel I have the most amazing supportive team in this industry. Not only do they believe in the vision I have for the salon, but they support and believe in each other. We all know that the beauty industry has a reputation for the the caddy and gossipy environment, I'll be the first to admit- I've worked in many salons that were like that. I was fortunate to come from a salon where the staff truly loved each other, but I knew I always wanted a salon of my own. So I decided a couple years ago that it was time to make that dream a reality, with the help of my husband ( who is an electrical contractor- built entire salon and spa) - I made that dream come true. At Body, we offer more services than you can possibly imagine, our menu is 24 pages. Starting with any hair service you can think of, nails services in clouding acrylic nails, gel polish, pedis and manis, facials, laser facials, laser hair removal, dermaplanning, acupuncture, massage, permanent makeup, tattoo removal- and many other services. Before a spa service you can relax in our sauna, or in the sanctuary. Take a shower before it after a service. Whiplash
You're in a car accident. That's scary enough. After it's been realized that hopefully everyone is ok it's time to pick up the pieces and move on.
