Our History
Over seventy-five years ago, the Kalogeros Family founded The Peerless Restaurant in Johnson City TN. Today, three generations later, Peerless is a renown Tennessee restaurant tradition which is known for its signature Grecian salads, butcher cut - aged... premium steaks, along with an array of fresh seafood delivered from the coastline and a large selection of delicious small plates and lite fare choices for today's modern diners.

We noticed some less than favorable comments about my favorite restaurant so I felt compelled to put in my 2-cents worth. I have been dining at The Peerless for 40 years and in all that time we have never had a "bad" meal or a bad experience. The food is great, and th...e employees have always been very attentive. To anyone reading this...if you truly want a real steak...cooked just the way you like it...then it's The Peerless for you. There are steak houses all over the area but when it comes to steak...The Peerless is second to none.
