Oder for custom spurs placed in August of 2014, now it is February 18th 2015 and still do not have the spurs.
Way over due order for a set of custom spurs. There are for our son, we placed the order August 19th 2014 hoping they would be in by November, or December. I called and checked on them, I was told they were on the shipping doc in November. December still no spurs.... De...cember call, they are 2 weeks out, you will get an email when they ship. January, umm, we lost your ticket, we will have to re order them and put a rush on them. I said "Okay" being as nice and patient as I understand issues. However it occurred to me I have been lied to previously. So February is now here and I call to check on the order. I am told "I will call you back by 3 pm today" I wait a day, then the weekend, now we are into Wednesday of the following week. I call again, ask to speak to a supervisor, am told she is out till Monday. Okay please let me leave a Voice message for her then. Hang up on. Call back request Supervisor again, told that maybe I can help you. No I asked for a Supervisor, finally get transferred and leave a message, but am just fuming over the lack of customer service, Still no ETA on the spurs...... Not a happy or satisfied customer, not sure I will ever again be a customer of SmithBros. What a shame, I used to love shopping here.
Problem Resolved thanks to a great CS Manager.
Within 24 hours of the time I posted my complaint I got a call from the Smith Brothers Customer Service Manager who apologized for the way I was treated on the phone and refunded the shipping charges in question. Credit where credit is due. I am so happy this company h...as folks who know how to right a wrong. The CS manager indicated to me that she has instructed her web team to fix the problem so that the actual charges quoted at time of check out are accurately represented.
Beware of Hidden Shipping Charges Not Shown At Time of Checkout
My daughter went online to purchase a pair of boots from this company. As part of the ordering process she chose a shipping method that would have delivered a pair of $99.99 boots to her with shipping charges of $13.95. As is usually the case with an online order the c...ompany presented her with a final screen showing the total of her order. $99.99 for the boots and $13.95 for shipping for a total of $113.94. It was her understanding that the boots would arrive overnight via "Express" shipping. Not only did the boots NOT arrive overnight, when they did the shipping charged was an astounding $66.95! Including sales tax of $8.24 the grand total of this order was $175.18 for a $99.99 pair of boots. On the onscreen "Thank You for Your Order" screen said, "Please print this page for your records." I'm glad my daughter did print it so we have proof.
