To all my customers, September 15, 2018 It is with joy, and a bit of sadness, that I am announcing my retirement, and the closing of my Lombard store, The Sewing Room. I have been in business sinc...e 1974,and have had the privilege to serve and work with so many of you through all these years. This announcement comes in mid-September 2018,with a final date of closing as November 30th,2018.Iwill begin closeout sales on September 17,with prices to reduce inventory, and to close the store. Please come in and visit, and see if there are any sewing machines, cabinets, or other related items that catch your eye. Everything in the store must go! This includes select fixtures, shelving and samples. The Sewing Room will be open Monday through Friday from 10 am to 5 pm. Also, beginning on Saturday September 22nd,the store will be open from 10 am to 1pm. I am looking forward to spending more time with my wife Mary, my sons Michael and Cory, my daughter-in-law Stephanie, and my twin grandsons Dylan and Keegan. My days in the future will be filled with golf, fishing, gardening, and traveling. I hope to see as many of you as possible, and wish you all the best in the future.
