Great Web Design
How many BAD websites are there out there? Well, I guess that's really a matter of opinion. But, I would guess, for all it's worth, that more than 50% of sites on the web are BAD. Poorly designed, constructed and poorly marketed, too. With all of the "online overnight website" programs and web building software available today, anyone can be a "web designer". My uncles' cousin's brother's wife's sister does "web page design". Won't that do???? NOPE!!!!! Not unless she's a pro. Not if you want a great website. What makes a great website, anyway? Well, let's think about this for a minute.....What do you like to see when you're searching for something online? Bright flashy colors, loud music, moving pictures, lots and lots of text that scrolls on forever??? Well, personally, I don't care for any of those things too much, because they are often OVERDONE. Some vivid colors are cool, and some moving pics or flash is great, in moderation, but for the most part, they're just fluff. Show me a fast loading, easy to read website that takes me only seconds to navigate to find what I want, is what I'm looking for as a consumer. I'm not surfing the net to be entertained. I'm on a hunt. If I want entertainment, I'll turn on the t.v.!! ;) (Unless of course, entertainment IS your business!) So, for the most part, that's what I'm looking for in GREAT web design. Simple, easy to read and navigate, fast loading pages. How about you??? Great Web Design = Superior Creativity and Skill and UPDATES!!! Now, with that being said, I am convinced there is still a need for great amounts of creativity. That's the stuff that gets you noticed. A good website is a balanced creation that's creative, and skillfully kept alive with captivating content. It becomes a living, breathing entity, really. Primarily, your website is a creative, inspiring representation of you or your business, or organization that is filled to the brim with content updated on a regular basis. It's absolutely imperative that you keep it cultivated and alive for people to remain interested in your website and/or business, etc. So often I find that a great, beautiful looking, well designed website is created and published, only for it to become stagnant and die, because no one keeps it updated!!! Arrrrghhh...such a sad tale. I can't stress enough how important it is to keep your website CURRENT! But, that's another story.....and another blog. Space Acres Digi-Design can help! So, if you're looking for a website that will get you noticed in a good way, and will keep your viewers attention by loading quickly, and giving them the navigational tools to find what they're searching for, we can help you with that.
