Total Wine & More

My experiences at this Total Wine have been very different from the negative reviews posted here. I have found the staff friendly and helpful. I've never had trouble finding a staff member when I need one. And I personally don't like it when every worker in a store come...s up to me and asks me if I need help, but I have been asked at this store. Reasonable products if you know what you are looking for. The better wines are not a bargain price, but a place you can find them when all else fails. Customer service runs hot and cold, mostly cold. The parking lot is a nightmare. You need to really want to go there to put up with the constant parking lot traffic jam and the poor customer service.

Those two-year-old negative reviews are puzzling; we have gone to this store on several occasions, and found the staff to be excellent. The selection of wines and liquors is wonderful, the prices are good (most are below other stores in the tri-state area), and the sta...ff have been very helpful. Granted, they are not hovering about looking for a chance to give an opinion - but I've had no trouble finding a clerk, and the ones I spoke with were well-informed and courteous. I don't go there for beer - but the wines are well presented. This store is a great resource for those of us who live in PA because we can get beer and wine in the same place and not have to pay tax! However, there is never an associate available to help you when needed nor really provide good service when you do find them. And ...they won't ask you if you need help. Oh and don't pull a beer box out of the wet coolor, only to find that its saturated and the beer bottles fall through and shatter on you and get in your skin, because they don't care about getting someone to quickly clean up the mess or stay with it for that matter so it doens't happen to anyone else. This store is cold and impersonal and typical of a chain store with lots of cheap, no-name brands geared for consumers with very little knowledge of wine. The finer wines are priced higher than most area stores. The layout of the store is confusing. Shelf talkers oft...en display incorrect vintages or wrong scores. Shopping via internet is virtually impossible because most of the wines on their web site don't post a vintage, and clearly not every wine in the store is listed on the web site. As for customer service, just order a wine that is not in stock and see if you ever get a call-back that the wine has arrived. Read More

If you are looking for a liquour store that is the size of a Supermarket, an old Acme, this place is the Mecca for spirits of all types and even good Cigars. You want it, they usually have it, the staff knows what they are selling and the place if easy to navigate even... though it is huge.
