An adapter should be purchased that will convert the tow vehicle’s male round seven pole hitch to allow connection on the trailer of the flat four pole plug. Lift the round seven pole hitch’s sprung cover and press the adapter in from the matched side. There is a groove in the hitch that will fit into the ridge that’s on the adapter so that it inserts correctly. When the tooth on the hitch cover underside slips on the adapter’s keep, holding it in place, then the adapter is fully installed. The male flat four pole plug that is male on the trailer should then be pressed into the adapter’s female outlet.
