   Remove the rust first by using liberating oil to spray the hitch bolts. 30minutes should be allowed for the oil to penetrate. Use a sledge hammer to hit the hitch to dislodge some rust and allow the hitch to loosen. Repeatedly spray the oil and hit the hitch till it loosens completely. It could take minutes or days for it to come off due to how fast oil penetrates. The bolts can soak in the oil within minutes or hours.
