About Brochure Printing

A brochure is a sales tool which either entices a potential customer into purchasing your service or product or visiting your site with information making them want to see more. Most consumers do not buy on just a whim. An overwhelming majority of people are pretty savvy and informed buyers. Brochures can help in this process.

Types of Brochures

There are five types of brochures. They all serve a different purpose. You should use the brochure type that serves your purpose best.

  • Sales support tools

  • Direct mail

  • Leave behinds

  • Response to inquiries

  • Point of sale

What Defines Your Brochure?

Use your brochure to communicate what you want the reader to know. They can be a combination of pictures and text or just one or the other. A brochure on a family theme park may have many pictures and one on a medical practice may be mostly text. They are used to educate and make the potential customer respond.

Grab the Attention of the Reader

The purpose of your brochure is to capture the reader's attention and keep it. You want them to read it from front to back and do it now. The front should make them want to reach out and pick it up. Once they have done so, you want them to read it all. Make it interesting and informational.

Color Scheme

If your brochure is for a restaurant, you want some of your delicious food on that cover. That would require a four-color setup. If you are a wedding photography studio, you want it to be lower key, but warm and pleasing to the eye. Outdoor activities could use lots of greens and blues in both pictures and print.

Brochure Shapes

There are basically four shapes in brochures. The most common is bi-fold. Coming right behind in popularity would be the tri-fold due to the fact it holds more info and pictures. Next would be gate-fold and z-fold.

Brochures are both economical and efficient in advertising. They are one of the most common methods used in all areas of business today.
