How to Avoid Problems When Brochure Printing

Brochure Printing Tips

Brochure printing is a great way to promote your business and establish an identity. Brochure printing is a way to communicate a message effectively to customers. Brochures can be done professionally by a professional printing company, or you can do it yourself by printing at home.

Choose a Style

Brochure printing is usually done on 8 ½” x 11” paper or 11” x 17”. This ensures proper folding and adequate size. The first option will produce a smaller size brochure.  The paper can then be folded the following ways:

Half - Results in a four-page brochure.

Tri-Fold - Results in a brochure with left and right flaps.

Z-Fold - Results in the brochure opening like an accordion.

Prepare Content

What is the main purpose of the brochure? Is it to market or educate? Promotion style brochures are usually very colorful and attractive to potential customers. You may also want to include high quality pictures. For this type of brochure, it may be beneficial to seek a professional printing company.

If the purpose of the brochure is to educate, it will be necessary to prepare the verbiage prior to printing and ensure it is grammatically correct.

Design the Layout

Make sure that the verbiage and graphics are assembled in an appealing layout. Is your point expressed clearly? Is the information jumbled? More importantly the layout should be designed in a way to make the reader want to continue reading, or maybe even just hold on to the brochure.

Use Brochure Printing to Market Your Business

Some brochures contain direct marketing information, such as location and hours of operation. Brochure printing is also a great way to include a coupon or refer potential customers back to your business.
