History of RSPCA

How Can I Belong to RSPCA?

RSPCA is the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. They are an Austrialian-based charity that promote and provide healthy animal care. They also work to prevent cruelty to homeless and sheltered animals. The organization welcomes membership applications.

  1. You must be a member of RSPCA. If you do not have a membership, start your application process at the RSPCA. You can fill out an application form by giving fundamental information about yourself, along with your first membership fee. You can either fill out your membership application online or in person. It is courteous to call RSPCA before you begin the process to gather any information you need and the membership fee cost.

  2. Membership fees vary by type of application, and are also based on the age of the person applying. A lifetime membership costs roughly $850, or a yearly membership for adults is $30, seniors pay only $20. If you want to be an active member, you need to indicate what area you live in to receive information on local RSPCA events.

  3. Once you fill out your application and send it in, the board of the RSPCA will review your application and make a decision if they will accept you or not.

  4. When you become an RSPCA member, you will receive a 10 percent discount at any of their animal clinics or hospitals throughout the area. Sometimes you may receive free issues of the animal magazine the RSPCA publishes.
