How Many Acura ZDXs Were Made?

Acura branded the ZDX as its four-door sports coupe. The highly sought after 300 horsepower V6 engine included with this model rockets the ZDX from 0 to 60 in 5.9 seconds. The Acura ZDX went on sale in the US in 2009. Sales numbers continue to increase each year.

The Acura ZDX boasts a six-speed transmission, Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) and glass roofline. These luxurious options drive consumers to remain loyal buyers to the Acura brand. Acura knows its customers have grown to expect a number of high quality options offered, and the ZDX does not disappoint.

While true production figures remain elusive, only 79 Acura ZDX models sold in 2009. The paltry sales figures likely resulted from the late start for the sales season. The near $60,000 sticker price causes consumers to hesitate and consider their finances. Various lower priced trim levels available for purchase reduce costs over the most luxurious trim package.

Sales for 2010 increased significantly from the prior year. After a year with the new model, consumers likely felt more comfortable committing to the purchase. More than 3,259 Acura ZDX models sold in 2010. Fuel mileage for the ZDX hovers around 20 miles per gallon on both the city and highway. A decent fuel mileage coupled with skyrocketing gas prices encourages even the most frugal buyer to make the purchase. After a few more production years true production numbers will be released along with the sales figures. Production does not generally match sales in the first few years of a new model.
