How to Check Immigration Status

The United States immigration process can be long and tedious. After submitting your application, you may be anxious to determine exactly what status your application is in. You can check your immigration status easily online by following a few simple instructions.

How to Check Immigration Status

1. Visit the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services website.

2. Click the link titled "Check My Case Status" under the heading "After I File" on the left hand side.

3. Enter your receipt number given to you when you filed your immigration application and click "Check Status."

4. Read the case status results given. You will see nine different steps your application will go through before being accepted. Your case status will tell you exactly where in the process your application is on that particular day.
