How to Copy MP3 Music Onto a CD
Copying or burning MP3 music is a rather popular and common way of transferring and listening to music. Aside from just being stored on your PC, MP3s can also be burned onto a CD. This process gives you quality playback with an authentic sound and multi-system compatible media.
- Import or download the required MP3 music files to your computer and then to the Windows Media Player. You will require these files to be on the hard drive prior to copying onto a CD.
- Open the Windows Media Player by selecting the icon on the desk top. Find the navigation menu bar at the top of the screen; right click to get a drop box menu. In this select the '"File" option and then select "Add to Library."
- The file directory screen will appear with the MP3 files stored in it. Clicking "OK" will import the files into the library, after which a status bar will appear and the program will begin to search for the audio files. Imported files can be found in the media library once the screen closes.
- Click the burn tab in the navigation menu located on the top of the screen. The computer will read the disc for a moment and give you the details of the disc. Once these appear, the burn configuration will be enabled.
- Locate the MP3 files that you want to copy, and high light and drag them into the empty burn list panel on the screen. The storage monitor shows the reconfiguration with each file to show the available storage left on the CD.
- Clicking the "Start Burn" tab at the bottom of the Burn list panel; this will make the right panel shift automatically to the middle panel of the screen with status of the audio files as they are being copied shown on the screen.
- A progress monitor will appear at the bottom of the screen in the right hand corner which shows the progress of the burn process.
- Once the copying is finished, the CD-ROM will be automatically ejected from the drive.
