How to Create a Snow Removal Contract

A lot of people like hiring snow plow removers to clear snow around their business or residence. It would be a good idea to write up a contract if you plan on using the snow plow service several times. A contract will help protect you from paying too much and getting a quality service.

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer

  • Printer

  • Pen

  1. Start by writing your contact info including billing address. This is obviously important because they company needs to know who and where to send the bill to. You might be able to find a contract template on your computer where you do your writing. This will help put everything in the right place.

  2. Write the proposal and include every detail you can think of. It's very important to include the price per visit that you and the snow plow company agreed on. You might even be able to negotiate a price for the entire season. Some snow plow companies might not like a set price for the whole year just in case it snows a lot. The language of the contract must include things you and the company both agreed upon. Make sure you include areas you expect to be plowed. It could take some time negotiation, but you should be able to get it done quickly.

  3. Include two signature lines at the bottom, one for you to sign and one for the company to sign.

  4. Print two copies of the contract and take both to the snow plow company.

  5. Have a representative from the snow plow company sign both copies and you sign both copies.
