How to Decorate a Hall for a Christmas Music Show

As the holidays roll around, more and more schools and other organizations begin to put on Christmas music shows. A school holiday music performance is typically held in the auditorium; however, other organizations sometimes rent out halls. In these cases, the show's organizers need to learn how to decorate a hall for a Christmas music show, to promote a festive, holiday ambiance.

Put up the trees. Decorate a hall for a Christmas music show with a variety of different sized Christmas trees and don't forget to adorn them with lots of lights and ornaments. You can also put "table topper" trees on each table in the hall and put a large Christmas tree in the middle of the room as a focal point and to add drama to the room.

Light up the stage. If the Christmas music show will be performed on a stage, decorate it with a variety of different holiday lights. Make sure the lights aren't the "flashing" type, or "chaser" lights, because they may cause your audience to become disoriented, dizzy or get a headache!

Drape the piano in velvet. Christmas music shows typically involve a piano or organ. When decorating a hall for a Christmas music show, don't forget to decorate the piano. Drape the piano in a rich, red velvet or silver and gold fabric. You can also spray your fabric with faux snow and sprinkle on a touch of glitter to add a little sparkle.

Don't forget the garland. You can purchase fresh evergreen garland from Christmas tree lots or home improvement stores. What better way to decorate a hall for a Christmas music show than by hanging lots of fragrant garland throughout the room for everyone to enjoy?
