How to Decorate an Outdoor Table
If you have an outdoor table, it can be decorated for any occasion. If you are having an outdoor birthday party, or just a get together with your friends, decorating the outdoor table is one of the first things you should do when getting ready for your party or get together.
- Use a tablecloth on the outdoor table. The tablecloth should be cotton. Use a color that matches the party’s theme. For example, if you are having a child’s birthday party, use a tablecloth that matches the cake they are having, and the theme the child has picked out.
- Use a centerpiece on the outdoor table. Use flowers from your own flower garden if you can, or purchase a flower centerpiece. You can also use plants as the centerpiece.
- Purchase cushions for the chairs at the outdoor table. Make sure the cushions match the table’s décor. Most outdoor furniture is not very comfortable, as they are made for the elements, so adding a cushion to the chairs will be a thoughtful touch.
- Place candles or lights on the outdoor table. You can display a mix of colorful candles placed in glass holders. You can also use bamboo tiki lights on the ground around the outdoor table. Using small votive candles on the table always looks nice.
- Use nice place settings on the table. Purchase simple napkin holders, or make your own. Use tea lights at each place for a romantic look. Use bright colors and patterns for a festive look. Keep in mind the theme you are using, and making sure the colors match.
