How to Design a Crying Baby Costume

When you are looking for a costume idea for an upcoming event, you want to choose something unique that stands out from the crowd. A crying baby costume is just what you are looking for. It is a unique and relatively easy to design.

Items Needed:

  • T-shirt

  • White pillowcase

  • Two large safety pins

  • Light blue face paint

  • Apron

  • Pacifier

  • One small safety pin (optional)

  • Colored ribbon

  • Stuffed animal

  • Other baby accessories

  1. Purchase the materials you need to make the costume.

  2. Create a diaper with the pillowcase. Pull one section of it in between your legs. Half of the pillowcase should cover your front, while the other half covers your back. Use the large safety pins to join each side together.

  3. Wear a T-shirt that is light blue, if you are a boy or pink, if you are a girl.

  4. Place an apron that only ties around your waist, around your neck. You may cut the apron to a more appropriate size if it covers most of your shirt.

  5. Draw teardrops running down your face with light blue face paint. Do not overdo it, though. Three or four on each side of your face is ample to create a crying look.

  6. Carry around a stuffed teddy tear or another baby toy.

  7. Tie a piece of ribbon through a pacifier and either pin it to your shirt or tie it loosely around your neck. Use pink or blue, depending on whether you are a girl or a boy.
