How to Email an MP3
Emailing an MP3 is very easy as long as you are already familiar with sending an email message. An MP3 can be attached to any email you want to send. You can send a short email pertaining to what you like or dislike about the song, or you can just simply send the MP3 in an email to someone by itself.
- Open an email account. If you don't already have a personal email account, there are many free email services like Gmail, YahooMail, and Fastmail. Choose whichever service you want to use and fill out the information they ask you.
- Download the MP3 you want to email to your computer. The MP3 must be saved somewhere on your computer's hard drive in order to attach it to an email and send it. If you are using an MP3 from the internet just simply pay for it and download it. If you want to send an MP3 you have on a CD, download a program such as iTunes.
- Place your CD into your computer. If you are using iTunes the program should automatically read your CD and your tracks should pop up. Click to import the song onto your iTunes program.
- Go to your personal email account. Find the “compose” tab and click it. This should bring you to a screen that will allow you to send an email.
- Find the “To” column and type in the person who you wish to receive the MP3's email address. You can also put the name of the MP3 in the “Subject” field, but this is not necessary.
- Write a message in the space provided. If you want to send a message along with the MP3 all you have to do is write it in the “Message” field.
- Click on “Attachments” this should bring up a browser that asks you what you want to attach. Find the file where you saved the MP3 previously. Double click the Mp3 or highlight it and click open.
- Click on the “Send” tab. Wait for your email to say “email sent” and you are done.
