How to Finance Steel Buildings
Steel buildings may be purchased and used as garages, work shops for a business, sales building, church or community building. Steel buildings can be made quite large at a very economical cost, but just because there is great value in purchasing a steel building does not mean purchasers have the cash free and available.
- Finance through the manufacturer or retailer. In some cases, financing for the steel building being purchased is available through the manufacturer or retailer of the building. In this case, the retailer or manufacturer would have the individual or business fill out a credit application with the company and review the credit worthiness of the purchaser. If the purchaser was deemed creditworthy, then the retailer or manufacturer would extend credit for the building and set up a payment schedule.
- Establish a line of credit using the site of the building (land) to secure the line of credit. A purchaser must visit a lender to apply for a line of credit on the property. This option is available if the property is paid off, and for the entity or individual on the title only. An application must be filled out and the value of the property assessed to see how much financing can be extended for the land.
- Apply for a construction loan. In some cases, the land is needed to be put up as collateral for this option also. Otherwise, an unsecured construction loan can be applied for so that the steel building can be constructed and put to use in a timely fashion.
