How to Find Music Videos
Music videos flourished at the end of the last century with the advent of MTV and VH1, but one problem was you could only see the videos that the programmers had scheduled. Because of the internet, it is much easier to find your favorite videos.
- Search Music.aol.com – Not only can you watch videos of your favorite band on Aol’s music site, but you can also tune into radio broadcasts featuring your favorite artists. Editorialized music reviews give the site a professional look, and touring information for various bands is also available on the site. To locate your favorite music videos, enter its name in the search box and hit enter.
- Search Youtube.com - Youtube is probably the most popular place to look for online music videos. Anyone who is anyone in the music world, from Justin Bieber to Lady Ga Ga to Kiss, will have their music videos on Youtube. Because the music videos are uploaded by random people and fans, the quality of the music videos will vary from poor to very good. One exception is Veoh videos, which sponsors the artists official video channels. These videos are in a higher quality, but they do have advertisements that play at the beginning of the video. To find your favorite artists, enter their name in the search box and hit return.
- Search Myspace.com – Myspace has lost some of its luster over the last few years, but it is still the preferred space for indie bands to put their presence on the net. Myspace videos showcase artists video performances (both live and produced), as well as their more casual and candid moments. Anyone on Myspace can upload videos and like Youtube, quality can vary greatly. To locate your favorite artists, fill their name into the Myspace search box and hit return.
