How to Find a Car Parking Space
Finding the right parking space is a challenging at times. Depending upon your physical condition, most often determines how close you want to park. Some people park away from the building so they can get exercise. Other people need to park close or at least near the location. There are ways to find a good parking space.
- Arrive to the location a few minutes a head of time. If you are attempting to get a close park at work, you want to arrive 30 minutes before it is time for everyone to get there. Arriving early will allow you to pick and choose where you want to park. Make sure you keep your secret to how you get your good park to yourself. If not, your co-workers will start arriving early as well.
- Ask for a handicap sign from your doctor. Your doctor will give you a written form to take to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). The DMV agent will look at your form and give you a handicap sign to hang from your rearview mirror. You will be able to park in any handicap parking space. Make sure your sign is visible when parking to prevent you from receiving a ticket.
- Check with the parking attendant. If you are going into a parking garage, many businesses have attendants that will be able to tell you where parking is available. Do not waste your time on the decks that they tell you are full. Go straight to the deck with available parks and search for the most convenient park.
- Ask a person that is walking to their car, whether or not they are parked close by. If they are follow them to their parking space and wait for them to come out. Most people if they see someone trying to maneuver their car in front of you to get the park. They will wait until the person is gone before backing out.
- Look for a park farthest from the building. If you are in great shape and do not mind walking, you will most likely find a park far away from the building. Most people look for parks that are close, so there are always parks that are far away.
