How to Find a Fish Farm
A fish farm is a place where fish are bred and raised. A fish farm can be used for the purpose of raising fish for food and/or filling up bodies of water with fish. Locating a fish farm in your state is not that hard to do if you use certain methods.
Use a search engine to find a fish farm. Simply type “fish farm (your zip code)” into the search engine and view the results. The results that come up will be fish farms that are closest to your zip code. Finding fish farms in other states is simply a matter of using a different zip code or state in your search. Write down or print the information that you get.
Contact the state you are trying to find the fish farm in. There is a list of all the fish farms and fish hatcheries in the state. Contacting the state can be done via the web or phone. Write this information down or print it out. The state will sometime offer to print it out the information for you for a fee.
Contact your local fish market and see if the workers know of any fish farms in your area. Fish markets sometimes buy fish from nearby fish farms. It can sometimes be cheaper for fish markets to do business locally instead of dealing with foreign fish farms. If the fish market you contact does business with any local fish farms, the people should not have any problem telling you where to find one.
