How to Get Enzol Out of White Scrubs
Enzol is a detergent that is made of enzymes. This detergent is used as a presoak for medical equipment before it is actually cleaned. The product can easily get on white scrubs but can be easily cleaned so the scrubs can be used again.
Materials Needed
- Bucket
- Cold water
- White distilled vinegar
- Cloth
- Washing machine
- Laundry detergent
- Fill a bucket with 1 gallon cold water. The bucket should be large enough to hold the white scrubs. Add 1 cup white distilled vinegar to the bucket. Swish the liquids around with a cloth to make sure they are completely mixed.
- Place the scrubs in the bucket. Allow the items to sit in the solution until the stain has dissolved. It could take more than two hours for the stain to disappear. Check the scrubs regularly until you notice the stain is gone.
- Read the care label on the scrubs to determine how they should be washed. Turn on the washer but make sure you use cold water if the care label suggests it. Add the correct amount of detergent to the washer. Add 1 cup of white distilled vinegar to the machine.
- Allow the machine to fill with water. Place the scrubs into the washer and allow the cycle to complete. Remove the scrubs from the washer. If there are light stains, wash the scrubs again but use vinegar and no detergent.
- Place the scrubs on a hanger. Hang the items in an area that is cool, dry and shaded so they can dry by air.
