How to Hide Speaker Wires for a Home Theater System

With affordable home theaters on the market today many consumers are purchasing quality surround systems. Some wireless surround sounds are available but there is nothing like the sounds that are received through good quality speaker cables. But how does one hide these unattractive cables?

How to Hide Speaker Wires for a Home Theater System

  1. Take a trip to your local electronics store and look at the options available such as flat speaker cables or round cables in optional colors. Flat cables are easier to conceal.

  2. The most common way to route the cables is along the baseboard of the interior room by using cord channeling. The channeling comes in white or beige and can be found at a hardware store or a home improvement center.

  3. For people just building a home or remodeling an existing room the cables can be run through the walls.

  4. The use of flat wire cables can be hidden under the edge of the carpet or edge of the base board. The flat wire can safely be tucked out of sight and protect the wires from damage. The flat wire can be ran along the floor to the location of the speaker and connected with a special connector that can be purchased at a electronics store.
