How to Make Berry Frozen Yogurt Popsicles

If you have an abundance of berries and you're not sure what to do with them all, try making some berry frozen yogurt popsicles. Making the popsicles is fairly simple and they make a great summertime treat. It only takes a handful of basic items.

Items needed:

  • Berries of your choice (1 1/2 cups)

  • Plain yogurt (about 6 ounces)

  • Blender

  • Crushed Ice (1 cup)

  • Popsicle mold of your choice

  • Toothpicks or popsicle sticks

  • Freezer

  1. Pour 1 1/2 cups of berries, 1 cup of crushed ice, and 6 ounces of plain yogurt into your blender and blend until smooth. Make sure all the contents are completely blended together.

  2. Dump the blended berry mixture into the mold of your choice. You can use empty ice cube trays or small cups for your molds. Make sure to only fill the molds about 3/4 of the way full. Liquids expand when they freeze. You'll have a mess in your freezer if you overfill the molds. Place the molds into your freezer and let them freeze for approximately one hour.

  3. Take the frozen mixture out of the freezer and put your toothpicks or popsicle sticks into the center of each popsicle. A great trick for keeping the toothpicks or sticks upright is to cover the mold with plastic wrap before inserting.

  4. Return the popsicles to the freezer for another hour.

  5. Check the consistency of your berry frozen yogurt popsicles to make sure they are ready to eat. Place them back in for a while if they are still slightly thawed. If they're ready then remove them and enjoy.
