How to Understand Embroidery Cards

How to Make Embroidery Cards

Cards are a great way to express your feelings towards someone. They are often sent out around the holiday or for special events such as birthdays. To add a creative and personal touch to your cards, you may want to embroider special designs onto them.

  1. Choose a piece of card stock that you want to use for your card. You can use plain white or select a colored piece. If you choose a colored piece, make sure it will match the color of embroidery thread you plan to use.

  2. Fold the card stock into the shape of a card. Run your finger down the edge of the card to create a crease.

  3. Spray the stabilizer adhesive on the card stock. This will help make the card sturdy and easier to embroider.

  4. Choose the design you want to embroider onto the card. Prepare the embroidery machine and place the card on the embroidery machine tray. Embroider the design onto the card.

  5. Remove the card from the machine. Remove the hoop from the embroidery machine and remove the stabilizer from the hoop.

  6. Use scissors to cut the stabilizer away from the design. Trim it so you cannot see any of it under or around the embroidered image.

  7. Cut a piece of card stock that is big enough to cover the embroidery threads that being shown on the inside of card. You can glue the card stock into place.

  8. Slide the embroidered card into an envelope and seal it. Mail the card out to the intended recipient.
