How to Make Kids Birthday Party Invitations
Birthday party invitations are a fun and important part of a kid's party. The invitations not only give guests important details about the party, but also set the tone and theme. Make the kid's birthday party invitations yourself and personalize them any way you want.
Some Things You'll Need:
- 8-1/2 inch by 11 inch cardstock
- Pen
- Ruler
- Photos of birthday boy or girl
- Computer
- Printer
- Scanner
- Stickers, rubber stamps, crayons, and other items to decorate invitations
- Glue
- Envelops
- Stamps
- Fold one piece of the cardstock in half and then fold in half again creating a 5-1/2 inch by 4-1/4 inch sized card. Use a ruler to smooth the creases flat.
- Decorate the front of the invitation with a photograph of the birthday kid and a phrase letting everyone know the occasion such as, "Look who's turning 6."
- Write all of the details of the birthday party on the inside flap of the invitation. Include the date, time and place of the party. Also, include RSVP information here as well. Use a ruler to keep the lines straight or purchase a rubber stamp made for this purpose with lines for all of the important information.
- Place stickers that go along with the theme of the birthday party on the inside of the invitation or use markers or crayons to draw pictures. Enlist the help of your birthday boy or girl for this step.
- Repeat the above steps for the number of party invitations needed. Alternately, unfold the invitation and scan into a computer. Print out as many as you need and fold following the instructions in step 1.
- Place the birthday party invitations into stamped, addressed envelopes and mail.
