How to Put a Song on Your MySpace Music Site
MySpace Music is often used to promote solo or band music from a variety of artists. This option provides you with the opportunity to post streaming samples or full songs that you made, so your listeners and fans can enjoy your music. Adding songs to your site is not a difficult process and once you get the hang of it, it becomes second nature.
- Log into your MySpace account with the email address and password you used when you signed up. A good idea is to create a separate account as your artist page, so your fans will see a dedicated site for your music and not a mixture of your personal social networking site, as well.
- Edit your profile by hovering your mouse over “Profile” after you have signed yourself in. Click on “Edit Profile” from the menu so you can obtain access to add songs and edit other details on your profile page.
- Select the tab that says “Manage Featured Songs.” This tab will bring you to a list of the songs you have already uploaded, or it will be blank if this is the first time you are creating music on your profile. Navigate to this page within your profile, in order to get started with uploading your own personal music.
- Select the link at the top of the page on the right side of your screen that says “Add a Song to Your Profile.”
- Enter the name of your song into the space entitled “Song Title.” This is where you can add if this is your original music, or if you are showing off your musical talents by singing a song from another well-known artist as a cover. This is also the place to date the song and click on “Update," once you have entered all of the information.
- Select “Choose File” to upload your song from your computer. Locate the song and click on “Upload” once you have selected it. Now your song is uploaded to your MySpace Music site.
