How to Record Internet Radio Programs
It is easy to record Internet radio programs with the proper application. Generally, software that allows recording of Internet radio programs works in the same basic way. It records what comes over your computer speakers. As a result, you will need to manually start and stop the recordings in much the same way as you would record something off the radio onto a CD.
1. Conduct an Internet search for the necessary software. A few examples are MP3myMP3, Freecorder and Free Sound Recorder.
2. Install the software and follow the instructions for setup. Once you install it, launch the application and a small toolbar application will appear on your web browser with a "Record" and "Stop" button on it.
3. Once you are ready to record, access the website of the radio station and play the program you want to record. Open your software and you should see a "Record" button. Click it and you should be recording the show.
4. As the radio program is playing, a pop-up window will notify you that the show is recording.
5. At the end of the show, you will need to click the "Stop" button.
6. You have now recorded the chow and can click "Play" to listen to the show you have recorded, which is now stored in the appropriate folder on your computer.
7. Once you have recorded these radio programs to your computer, you can burn these to CD. You can do this through Windows Media Player.
8. Once you have opened Media Player, click on "Library" then on "List."
9. Next, click on "Burn List." Open the folder where you have saved your recordings. Drag the recordings, in the order you want them played, into the "List pane" of Windows Media Player.
10. Insert a blank CD-R into your computer's CD drive. Click "Start Burn," "Audio CD" and then click "Start." The CD should automatically eject when it is done.
