How to Style a Long Hair Extension
Hair extensions can add a considerable amount of length to your own hair, as well as add noticeable volume if you wish to use them for a particular style. Once you have these pieces in, there are different ways you can style them to complement your entire appearance.
- One of the most basic, yet loved styles for long hair extensions is to wear them straight down. Although you should bump the ends for a styled effect, if you cut them in layers, the style does not look plain. Consider adding highlighted extension pieces to your hair when you are styling them and this will add an element of depth to your hair.
- Another way for you to style you long hair extensions is for you to wear them in curls. Use a curling iron if the extensions are made out of human hair, and create spiral curls around your entire head. You can choose to have small Shirley Temple curls, or you can opt to have large, wavy Kim Kardashian-inspired curls.
- Pull your hair back into a high ponytail, making sure that you keep the top of the extensions covered. Depending on how tight you pull your hair, the tracks can show if you are not careful. Curl the entire ponytail while it is hanging, and separate the curls to add volume. This is ideal for a sporty or casual look that is still stylish and not too relaxed. Place hair clips in the style for a finishing touch.
