How to Use the Upholstery Cleaner on the Hoover Carpet Cleaning
A great feature for any carpet cleaner to have is the upholstery attachment, which makes it so much more useful. Now you can clean not only your upholstered furniture, but your upholstered pillows, car seats and auto carpeting, too. You'll get the hang of it after a few times of switching it over to the attachment.
- Look at the center of the Hoover carpet cleaner's shampoo head. At top dead center, you'll see a round opening with a cover.
- Stick your fingernail under the lip of it at the front and lift it up.
- Remove the upholstery attachment from its storage place by lifting the cover at the front of the handle.
- Slide it onto the angled hose end making sure the nub locks it in place.
- Push the other end of the hose into the round cover you just opened. It only goes in a certain way. Put the big slot toward the back, push down and lock the clip tips in.
- Push in the solution feed tube into the side of the shampooer head near the bottom. You should feel it snap in. Once the hose is plugged in, the floor head scrubber brushes are disengaged and the upholstery attachment is engaged.
- Clean with the upholstery attachment now by pulling the trigger to release cleaning solution, scrub if it has the rotating brushes and suck out the dirty solution.
- Remove the attachment hose and solution feed tube from the shampooer head by pulling them back out. It is normal for some cleaning solution to come out of the feed tube when you remove it.
- Snap the cover closed again after removing the upholstery attachment, or it will not suck properly for floor cleaning.
