Instructions for Making Wine Glass Charms
Wine glass charms add a decorative touch to your wine glasses and help guests know which one is theirs. Wine glass charms are often used for special occasions or parties. You can buy the charms from most department stores, but is it less costly and more fun to make your own.
Items Needed:
- Craft or earring hoops
- Split rings
- Beads
- Charms
- Decide how many wine glasses you want to decorate and if you will stick with a theme. If you are making wine glass charms that will be used for a Christmas party, stick to a Christmas theme.
- Visit your local craft store and purchase the hoops, split rings and charms. You can also add small beads to make the wine glass charms even fancier.
- Slide the split ring onto the hoop. If you want to add more than one charm, you will need to use more than one split ring. Avoid using too many charms because they could weigh down and bend the hoop.
- Pry open the split ring and slide the charm onto it. Press the split ring back together to secure the charm onto it.
- Add beads to each side of the hoop. Pull the ring hook around the free end to close the hoop and hold the beads and split ring in place.
- Unlatch the hoop and gently place it around the stem of the wine glass. Be careful that none of the beads or charms slide off the hoop when it is being attached to the wine glass.
- Decorate each wine glass charm differently.
