Types of Oil for a Motorcycle

Choosing the best oil for your motorcycle will keep it running at its best. The best way to find out what type of oil your motorcycle needs is by reading its owners manual. The oil listed in the owner's manual is the type of oil that is recommended to be put in motorcycles.

Types of Oil For Motorcycles:

Synthetic Oil

Synthetic motorcycle oil is now used in most all of the modern bikes. The oil helps provide more power, better fuel economy, helps with temperature control and longer engine life. You will notice that bikes that tend to use synthetic oil do not experience as many part repairs.

Performance Oil

Performance oil is highly recommended for those bikes that will be racing. Performance oil provides bikes with a cooling ability to control temperatures that other oils will not. There are many oils that work well in bikes. You want to make sure the oil you choose does not say energy conserving. Many of these type oils include additives that could cause your clutch to slip.
