Uniden Cordless Phone Answering Machine Instructions
Uniden offers various types of handsets and answering machines. Some of the handsets come with an answering machine included. Uniden products have the same general answering machine set up, and it is simple to begin using. You can save money you might have otherwise spent on voicemail services by using an answering machine.
- Access the language menu by pressing the "Menu" key six times. Use the "Select" key to designate your chosen language based on the prompts. Uniden answering machine units come with three language options: English, French, or Spanish.
- Program the number of times you want the phone to ring prior to the machine taking the call. This is done by pressing the "Menu" key three times, and then pressing the "Select" key to set the number of rings. Press "Select" one final time to complete the setting.
- Record your greeting. The machine prompts users to record their greeting when the "Greet" key is pressed. Speak your message and press the "Set" key when you are finished. The system automatically plays the greeting for users to review. If you are satisfied with the recording, then your greeting is set. If you are not satisfied, repeat this step again to re-record. You can delete your greeting at a later time by pressing the "Greet" key followed by the hash key (#).
- Review messages by pressing the "Play" key and delete unwanted messages by pressing "Delete." Some newer versions of Uniden answering machines allow users to retrieve messages when they are away from home by calling their number and entering a PIN.
