Givens Auto Parts

After e mailing and calling twice the Friday before I was there Monday telling them I wanted the part I was treated like a second class person by the 2 different women I spoke with.
THEN AS THE OTHER REVIEWS STATED PART WASNT THERE, NO PART.
POOR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE....

Poor customer service. Don't expect any help after your purchase. I purchased a 4x4 rear-end ($500). After using it for a short time in 2 wheel drive mode, I realized it was the wrong gear ratio. I spoke with management, requesting an exchange (or refund in case the cor...rect part was unavailable). I was told they might consider an exchange, but they did not have the part I needed. They refused any and all requests for a refund (even a partial refund as well as my offer to pay a restocking fee), even though I offered to demonstrate that the rear-end was in good, working condition and not damaged in any way. Furthermore, I offered to let them inspect it or have a mechanic inspect it and subject it to any testing they chose, yet my requests were still denied. Bad Customer Service. These guys use to be concerned about selling used parts at a fair price now they sell used parts for the highest amount they can get. I used to purchase from them on a regular basis. I went in their yesterday and waited several minutes for an emplo...yee to help me. Once I finally got help I was told the price would be 25.00 over what they had quoted me on the phone a month earlier. I pointed out to the employee that I had found the parts online for less then half what they were asking and I asked if he could come down some. I was rudely told I am sure you can get a better price somewhere else and that he could not help me. Their price was 125 and the price I got for the same piece was 40. So if they are the only ones who have what you need then your stuck, if there not you get better pricing and a whole lot kinder service from other salvage yards in Atlanta. Very Honest "look you in the eye" kind of team at Givens. Good family people! Always giving that extra ten per-cent that makes for first class service.
Hard job made to look easy by these veterans. Phones ringing off the hook but still take the time needed for each customer.

Visited Givens Auto parts last Saturday and they were busy as bees. It looked like the varsity with orders flying. I thought that I would never be able to get my truck part. I needed two taillights for my 2001 Dodge pick-up and got ready for a long wait . But t...o my pleasant surprise, those taillights were pulled right off the shelf and presented to me. I visited this establishment recently. When I called on the phone, a real person answered the phone and I was in a good mood already. I hate to sit on hold and feel like people think my time has no value. I was in need of a 5.7 engine for my family's 1999 suburban and... when the representive put me on hold to check, I got ready again for a long wait but it was less than a minute that I had availability and price. I did go purchase this engine and in the process, I was able to get an installer recommended that I found to be very reasonable and had my engine installed and I was driving again in less than a week. I thought it was a bonus that at no extra charge the installer picked up the enine from the Givens store and returned my bad engine for a discount for trading in my bad engine. While I was there I learned this was a family business that had started out in 1962 and has survived the deep recession that had closed so many smaller businesses. Read More
