How do home builders handle customers who constantly change their minds about what they want?
"Some builders require a fee, i.e. $50, to do each change. Some charge $50.00 up front to research how much the change will cost and then if they decide not to do it, you have recouped your expense. If they then decide to do it, the change order could be reduced by $50.00. Some add the expense into the change order item. It shouldn't take too long for the homeowner to decide not to do changes when the change is very expensive and will delay their closing."
