Unwanted Adult Domestic Felines

There is a numerous amount of unwanted adult cats from households on Long Island, NY. It is quite ddisturbing to see how many families and individuals will abandon a housecat that has lived with them for years, because of a situation that may arise. People do not understand the massive overloaded cat adoption condition in the media, newspapers, online. There just isn't anywhere to place an older cat up for adoption. They need to keep their cat, and to tolerate the cat as it becomes older, and to recognize that the market is for kittens, and young cats up to age of three years or so. To attempt to place an old cat up for adoption is to commit the murder of that cat.
