Brother Machine Embroidery Hints & Tips

Brother Embroidery Machine Instructions

Brother Embroidery sewing machines are user-friendly embroidery devices that create decorative designs and garments. Embroiderers can customize their design by selecting different colors and preloaded designs. Selecting one of these designs is easy to retrieve and use in finalizing a product.

  1. Turn
on the power to the Brother Embroidery sewing machine. Choose the
“Home” key and then select the “Embroidery” key to load the
main embroidery menu. Notice that several embroidery patterns will
appear in the selection box. Select one of the categories stored
    directly on the sewing machine.

  2. Use
your index finger to select the desired embroidery pattern on the touch-screen. Wait until a new menu appears. Select the
“Up” or “Down” keys to search for a specific pattern. Press
the selected design key. Press “Mirror Image” at the bottom
of the screen if it this option is needed.

  3. Mount the embroidery foot to the Brother Embroidery sewing machine if the
attachment is not already in place. Place a needle in position. Refer to the manufacturer's manual for the specific
needle size. Choose the correct number for the intended fabric.

  4. Loosen
and remove the inner frame. Thread the fabric
into the embroidery frame. Position the fabric with the right side
up and then center the portion of the fabric being embroidered. Mount the inner frame and align the arrows on both frames. Twist the
embroidery screw to tighten the grip on the fabric. Stretch the
    fabric until no slack remains.

  5. Align
the embroidery frame using the  arrows. Mount the frame machine. Notice a “Caution” message if the
embroidery hoop is not locked down properly. Follow the directions
on the screen if this message appears.

  6. Be
sure the layout is correct. Use the right color of thread for the
    selected embroidery design.

  7. Start
the stitching process. Change the colors as needed.

  8. Remove
the embroidery hoop from the Brother Embroidery sewing machine after
    completing.
