How to Adjust Hybrid Golf Clubs
The Hybrid Golf Clubs are amongst the newest types of clubs in golf. They were designed in 2003 and they allow for very accurate shots. They have exceeded the performance of the traditional long irons. You must adjust your clubs according to your preferences to ensure the best performance.
Materials:
Allen wrench
- Turn your golf club upside down and look for the holes in the bottom of your club, near the club's head connection to the shaft. Many of the hybrid clubs are adjustable since its patent calls for "plugs of varying weights.” This is to adjust your golf swing. If your hybrid club has a solid bottom, that means that you have to take it to the golf pro shop to be adjusted.
- Slide your Allen wrench into the hole on the bottom of your club. Remove the small weight from the hole by turning the wrench counter clockwise. Removing the weight near the shaft will cause the club to pull away from you on the swing. Removing a weight on the opposite side will cause the club to pull toward you. If your club has a third center weight, removing it will lighten the club without changing the pulling of the swing.
- Insert the Allen wrench in the small hole on the side of the club and turn it clockwise to increase the club's loft angle or counter clockwise to decrease it. In most cases, this angle cannot be adjusted more than two or three degrees. If you need a dramatically altered angle, adjustment alone will not work and you will need to get a golf club specifically designed for the angle you need.
