How to Buy Used Golf Clubs
If you are on a budget and are trying to save money, you can purchase used golf clubs at a discounted price. If you are new to golf, you don’t want to spend a lot of money when you are first starting out until you know you will continue playing the game. There are many different ways you can purchase used golf clubs.
- Look at the club heads on the golf clubs before you purchase them. You do not want golf clubs that are completely worn out. If a club has been used a lot, you will see a worn spot in the center of the club that is shiny. Make sure there are no indentations in the clubface, and make sure the grooves are well defined.
- Look at the shafts on the golf clubs. Make sure you don’t see any indentations in the shaft or well-worn areas. Check for resistance by twisting the head and grip in opposite directions. If you don’t notice great resistance, then the clubs are weak. If the clubs have a steel shaft, look at all of the clubs and make sure they all feel the same.
- Ask your friends that are experienced golf players or even golf pro, if you can, to look at the golf clubs before you purchase them. Let them swing the clubs and see how they feel. They will be able to tell you if you are getting a good deal.
- Look at the grips on the golf clubs. Make sure you do not see any cracks or worn out areas. It will cost you money to re-grip the clubs if they are not gripped well.
