How to Clean Copper Golf Clubs
Copper golf clubs can become dingy over time with regular use. Having a clean and shiny set of clubs can make you feel like a winner every time you are out on the course. You can keep the clubs looking like new by cleaning them regularly.
Materials Needed
- Plastic sheet
- Golf brush
- White distilled vinegar
- Small bucket
- Mild liquid dish detergent
- Cloths
- Polishing compound
- High speed buffer
- Remove the copper golf clubs from the golf bag. Spread out a plastic sheet and place the clubs on top of it. Place something heavy on the edges of the sheet to keep it in place.
- Brush the head on each club with a golf brush. This will remove any sod or other debris from the clubs and make the rest of the cleaning process much easier. Inspect the clubs to make sure all of the sod is removed.
- Pour 1 cup white distilled vinegar into a small bucket. Place all of the clubs in the bucket and allow them to sit for 30 minutes. Rinse the clubs well with clean water. Pour the vinegar out of the bucket and rinse it with clean water.
- Fill the bucket with water and mild liquid dish detergent. Use the cleaning solution and a sponge to clean the clubs from top to bottom. Rinse the soap from the clubs with clean water. Dry the clubs with a dry cloth.
- Add a polishing compound to the pad on a high-speed buffer. Buff all of the golf clubs using the buffer. This will restore the shine to the clubs. Put all of the clubs back into the golf bag.
