Mark off the areas where you will build the landscaping wall.
Dig a trench on the area that is four inches deep. The width of the trench will be the size of the blocks you choose to build the landscaping wall with.
Add two inches of dirt to the bottom of the trench and pack it down tightly.
Add the first block to the trench. Use a level to make sure the block is even. Use a rubber mallet to level blocks that are uneven.
Lay all of the blocks for the foundation. Check the levels as you lay the blocks.
Start on the second layer. Stagger the blocks as you create layers to the wall until the landscaping wall is the desired height.
Put landscaping plastic along the back of the wall to prevent soil from getting through the spaces.
You can fill the space with soil and plant your flowers or garden.
