How to Buy a Wine Fridge

Many people prefer having a wine fridge so they can keep their wines at the recommended temperature in a more controlled environment. There are many different wine refrigerators available. There are several factors you might consider to help you choose one.

• Think about getting a wine refrigerator with dual zones for storing different kinds of wines. By doing this, you may be able to keep your Red one in one zone and your white wines in the other.


• Get a tape measure and measure the area that you have available for a wine refrigerator. Doing this may help you determine what size refrigerator to buy. If you have plenty of space for any size refrigerator, think about how many wine bottles you would like to store in the fridge to help you make the decision.


• Look at the room where you will be putting the wine fridge. What are the main colors in the room? You might choose a wine refrigerator that goes with these colors.


• Determine whether you would like a glass front fridge or one with a covered front. You might prefer getting one with a glass front so that you can see the selection inside without opening the refrigerator and disturbing the atmosphere inside. Covered door wine refrigerators would be ideal for blocking out sunlight though.


• Figure out how much money you can spend on a wine refrigerator. You might not be able to afford the one that has all the features you wanted, but you may be able to come up with something that satisfies your needs for the amount of money you have available.
