How to Get Digital Cable Channels Without a Converter
Since television broadcasters are now required to broadcast digital signals instead of analog signals, you will need to be equipped to receive digital signals if you wish to watch the television stations. One method is to purchase a converter box. If you don’t wish to purchase a converter box, you will need to sign up for service from a cable or satellite provider.

- Contact a sales representative for your chosen company to set up a service account for your home. For some companies, you may have to set up a time for a service technician to set up the service for you; while other companies may just send you the equipment needed to set it up yourself and will send a technician to activate the service.
