What You’ll Need
- Scissors
- Ruler
- Tape
- Pencil
- Glue Stick
- Embroidery Floss
- Card Stock
- Large Eye Embroidery Needle
- Foam Pad
- Vertically fold your card stock in half. Crease the fold and trim it to your desired size.
- Draw your desired design on the front of the card lightly.
- Lay the foam pad on a firm surface and open your card face up on the pad. Poke your needle through the front of the card every 1/8 inch. Do this along the lines you’ve drawn.
- Cut a piece of 12 inch floss, and separated to the necessary number of strands. Thread the floss through the eye of your needle.
- Insert your needle through the first hole made. Bring the thread back from the card through the top. You should leave ½ inch of floss behind the card. Put tape across it to keep it in place. On the second hole, move the needle and floss from front to back. Be sure the floss is tight. Continue to do this until all the holes are filled.
- Cut card stock to the card’s dimensions. Trim ¼ of the edge off. This will make a liner for the interior of your card. Rub your glue stick over the liner and make sure the edges get coated.
- Open your card face down and center your liner with the glue side down. Press down firmly and give the glue time to dry.
