How to Make Lighted Glass Wine Bottles
If you are looking for a unique gift to give to a friend or family member or a great way to decorate your home for the holidays, you should consider making some lighted glass wine bottles. Not only do they look beautiful when made properly, but also they are easy to make.
How to Make Lighted Glass Wine Bottles
Remove the label from the wine bottle and wash and dry thoroughly.
Put on safety glasses, gloves and a long sleeved shirt to protect you from injury.
Using a 1/4" carbide bit drill a hole in the back of the bottle near the bottom.
Rinse the bottle out to remove any pieces of glass.
Spray the bottle with a frosting spray and allow it to sit for 24 hours.
Insert the end of a miniature light string through the drilled hole and out the top of the bottle. The plug should be on the outside of the bottle at the bottom.
Stuff all the lights into the bottle and use a dowel stick to distribute them evenly.
The bottle is now ready to be decorated as desired.
