How to Install a Bazooka Tube Subwoofer
Bazooka tube subwoofers are often installed in vehicles. The tube-like structure keeps it compact and allows it to fit in small vehicles or spaces including under and behind seats or in the trunk. Subwoofers can improve the bass and sound of any vehicle if installed properly.
- Choose the location in your car where you wish to install the bazooka subwoofer. Because it mounts at the bottom, the best places to install it are on the floor or in the trunk of the vehicle.
- Use the included mounting screws to mount the subwoofer to the vehicle. Use a screwdriver to install the two mounting brackets inside the car.
- Adjust the bases so the tube overlaps them on each side when it is sitting on them.
- Put the two mounting straps through the bases. Notice the strap opening, and thread each one through the proper one. The straps will cross the bottom of the bases and come through the other side.
- Put the tube onto the bases, and wrap the straps around. Thread each end into the buckles, and secure them in place. Pull each end of the thread to adjust the straps, and allow them to hold the subwoofer tube in place.
- Connect the speaker wire from the amplifier or speaker to the input ports or terminals on the top or side of the subwoofer.
- Turn on the subwoofer and the vehicle radio or CD player. Turn up the volume on the subwoofer to a comfortable level. Use the radio or CD player knobs to control the speakers and overall volume.
